Position Overview:
As an Interventional Radiology Tech, you will be responsible for assisting physicians during minimally invasive interventional procedures, operating advanced imaging equipment, and ensuring a safe and efficient patient experience. Your expertise in imaging technologies, patient care, and interventional procedures will directly contribute to our mission of providing exceptional care to our patients.
This position will be Monday through Thursday
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures.
- Assist physicians with the setup and execution of diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac and/or vascular procedures.
- Operate and maintain fluoroscopic and other imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images.
- Ensure sterile techniques and safety protocols are followed throughout each procedure.
- Monitor and assess patients’ vital signs during procedures.
- Assist with patient preparation, including IV placement, contrast injection, and other preparatory tasks.
- Prepares equipment and supplies and sets up sterile equipment trays as needed.
- Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment, and exam to ensure patient’s understanding and cooperation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of medical imaging equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
- Adhere to all regulatory, safety, and quality standards in the OBL setting.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT) preferred.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Interventional Radiology or related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of imaging technologies, procedures, and protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional patient care skills with a compassionate, patient-first approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and procedures.
