Michael J. O’Brien, M.D.

I enjoy complex endovascular interventional radiology cases. I am interested in the management of liver disease including biliary disease, portal hypertension and hepatic malignancy.

Colorado Advanced Endovascular provides patients with better options for treatment of common procedures. We provide an efficient and convenient care option that is more personal than a large hospital. (And easy, free parking!)

Beyond Radiology:
Outside of work, I enjoy outdoor activities including golf and swimming. My other hobbies include building puzzles, spending significant time with kids’ activities such as competitive swimming and cheerleading!
Achievements/Awards:
I have served on many hospital and radiology practice committees including medical executive committee, peer review, and operations. Previously, I served as president of the Western Angiographic Society as well as the Radiology Medical Director at Centura St. Anthony Hospital, Centura St. Anthony North Hospital, Parker Adventist Hospital and Castle Rock Adventist Hospital. In the past, I worked in academic medicine at the University of Arizona, educating medical students, residents, and fellows in interventional radiology. I’ve also served as the Fellowship Director in the radiology department and as an Associate Investigator at the Arizona Cancer Center.
